Shelby L. Rios graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communication. Two years later, she completed her masters degree in Communication Information at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at UTK. Her program is housed in the College of Communication Information. She has worked for a number of organizations including Appalachian State Athletics, Second Story Media and Little Architecture. Her experience lies mainly with press and donor relations. Currently, she has found a passion working on various environmental advocacy and health risk research projects.

 

When she is not working, she loves playing with her pup Everest,  watching movies, or visiting the mountains.
